The Small Treasures Exhibition showcases some of the best small format artwork being created in North Carolina. North Carolina has a rich and vibrant arts community that stretches from the mountains in the west through the Piedmont, to the coast.
Applications open April 7, 2023
All submissions due by June 1, 2023.
The juried exhibition is open to all North Carolina artists producing small format 2D and 3D artwork.

Meet our Juror: Leatha Koefler
​
Leatha Koefler has worked as an artist, designer, and art teacher for numerous years. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, her Master’s degree from North Carolina State University; and postgraduate studies at Savannah College of Art and Design as well as The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
​
Her studio practice is primarily working with found materials; building sculptures and wall art from outdated technologies such as slides, VHS tapes, film, floppy disks. She has won awards for her art locally and internationally. In addition to her personal artwork, she is part of a collaborative team building large nest installations. The nests range in size from 4 feet to 14 feet. Nest installations have been constructed at the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, Cary Arts Center, Imperial Center for the Arts in
Rocky Mount, the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Milton Rhodes Art Center in Winston Salem, and other locations.

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

Artists must be at least 18 years old and residents of North Carolina.

Size Restrictions:
-
2D work must be NO LARGER THAN 13 X 13" on any side, including mat and frame.

3D work must be NO LARGER THAN 12 X 12” in any dimension.

All work must be for sale.
