I have always been inspired by and felt most comfortable in nature. Working with clay and in my garden feels like a natural extension of my connection to it.  My Ceramic work does not attempt to address any issues facing us. It is a simple exploration of the expressive qualities of color, sculptural qualities of a simple leaf, and the tactile qualities of the feel of the wheel! I create each Hosta leaf artwork by impressing an actual leaf in the clay before I sculpt the functional or decorative form.
